Jazz Band
Interested in Jazz? How about being part of a jazz band? If you go to WHS, you can become a part of its new and quickly growing jazz band. They play any type of jazz, from fast bebop to slower ballads. Being a member myself, I can say that it is a very fun and rewarding experience. The jazz band not only has fun playing music. When it went to perform at Marshall, they got a live performance by Arturo Sandoval, one of the best Cuban-American jazz players ever born. After playing at the Jazz Festival in Charleston, scoring an excellent rating, they retired to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant. Don't think twice before joining this prestigious group.

For the upcoming 2007-2008 school year, Jazz will be during 7th period. The Jazz Ensemble performs locally throughout the year. They participate in such events as the Warren HS Jazz Coffee House, the WHS Night of the Arts, the WHS Talent Show, the Southern Regional Jazz Band Festival, and the WHS Christmas and Spring Band Concerts.
